A Program of passion & purpose
There are few available opportunities for people living with brain change to contribute to society in a meaningful way. Naples Unites Partner Sites provide an individualized way to be engaged in the community and, truly, in one’s own life. Naples Unites Partner Sites help reduce the stigma associated with brain change by helping the community at large see people with cognitive changes as viable members of society, not closed off in segregated communities and restricted activities.

Naples Unites Partner Sites encourage and enable people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of cognitive changes to follow their passions and be involved in activities that provide purpose and meaning. When people living with brain change are seen as unique individuals with something to give, rather than people who can no longer contribute, the stigma starts peeling away. As a Partner Site you are helping people with brain change find a depth of purpose that brings meaning to all our lives.
Bridging Hearts, Building Community
Naples Unites Partner Site Passion and Purpose Program is a volunteer-buddy program linking a person living with brain change to one of our volunteers. This buddy pair is then matched up with an organizational partner site. The aim is to give purpose to both volunteers by doing something they find meaningful and enjoyable, while also providing a benefit to the partner site.
By insisting that people living with brain change are treated with dignity and respect, Naples Unites seeks to explore ways for our community to work together on the shared goal of crafting compassionate care that offers the maximum level of autonomy and well-being. Naples Unites will be successful when every business in Naples, Florida welcomes people living with brain change and commits to treating each individual with understanding, kindness, respect and dignity.
Volunteer Opportunities With Partner Sites
Downtown Naples & Other Locations
Opportunity: Set building/design, Costume department
Duties May Include: Sorting, Sewing, Categorizing, Painting, Building
Good to Know: No experience is necessary, but experience is certainly welcomed! Good to have a love for the theater and everything that makes it come together.
Days Needed: Flexible
Times Needed: Flexible
Bonita Springs
Opportunity: Plant shop support
Duties May Include: Guest service, light plant care, watering, etc.
Good to Know: Outdoor environment (heat/sun), Sitting/standing in plant shop area (approx. 700 sq ft), gravel ground cover
Days Needed: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
Times Needed: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM | 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Opportunity: Nursery Assistant
South Naples
Duties May Include: Weeding, adding mulch in pots, sweeping, watering, pruning, repotting, labeling plant material, assist with light maintenance
Good to Know: Outdoor environment (heat/sun), hats and closed-toe shoes suggested.
Days Needed: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Times Needed: 2 Hour shift anytime from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

North Naples, East Naples
Opportunity: Assisting at ReStore locations
Duties May Include: Greeting customers, unpack donations, prepare donations for display, sales support to staff, assist with maintenance and repair.
Good to Know: Indoor environment, mostly standing.
Days Needed: Monday – Saturday at East Naples | Monday – Sunday at North Naples
Times Needed: Flexible during open hours 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Sunday 10AM – 4PM)
5 Locations: 2 in Naples, 1 on Marco Island, 1 in Everglades City, 1 in the City of Immokalee
Opportunity: Greeting guests, special projects, special events assistance, group outdoor projects, etc.
Duties May Include: Greeting guests, upkeep of our garden, assisting with games, crafts, or activities at special events, etc.
Good to Know: Some opportunities are indoors, and some opportunities are outdoors. Anyone interested in SWFL history would be a welcomed addition to our team. We have 5 local history museums in Collier County that are free to the public.
Days Needed: Flexible Tuesdays through Saturdays
Times Needed: Flexible between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Near Coastland Mall
Opportunities: Stock shelves/Hang clothes (back of store)/Talking with customers in Shoe Department
Duties May Include: Manager is flexible depending on Volunteer
Good to Know: Knowledge about golf is great! Indoor environment. Can get extremely busy and crowded from November to May.
Days Needed: Flexible
Times Needed: Flexible during store hours; OR 7-9am for stocking shelves before store opens
North Naples
Opportunities: Beach cleanup
Duties May Include: Pick up debris left behind by beachgoers; smooth sand for sea turtle hatchlings (in season)
Good to Know: Need a white 5-gallon bucket and a love of walking the beach; Mel has the buckets with our decals on them; after getting basic instructions, just show up whenever it works for you.
Days Needed: All days
Times Needed: Flexible, but best early morning or evening
Naples
Opportunities: Naples Warehouse Sort/bag Produce, Build food Kits, Cut/Tie Produce net bags
Duties May Include: Sort/bag Produce – make 3lb bags of produce, Build Family food Kits – Place non-perishable items into a box on a conveyor belt, Cut/Tie Produce net bags
Good to Know: Tennis shoes (closed-toe shoes) are required, no Tank tops
Days Needed: Flexible – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Times Needed: 8:30-11:30am and/or 12:00-3:00pm
Tamiami Trail
Opportunities: Working with customers; assisting staff
Duties May Include: Greeting/working with customers; help unpack donations; prepare donated items for display; sales support to staff; assist with maintenance and repair
Good to Know: Upscale thrift store; Indoor environment; mostly standing
Days Needed: Flexible-Monday through Saturday
Times Needed: 10am-1pm or 11am-2pm (summer) plus 1-3 or 4pm (winter)
Naples
Opportunities: General Sanctuary Volunteer
Duties May Include: Gardening, organizing, painting, creating enrichment items for the animals, laundry, light maintenance (TBD)
Good to Know: Outdoor environment (heat/sun), uneven surfaces throughout the Sanctuary
Days Needed: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (flexible)
Times Needed: 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (flexible)
Opportunities: Working with Senior Real Estate Specialists, Julie and Katie
Duties May Include: Previewing homes prior to client viewing them; assisting with staging homes prior to having showings; other helpful tasks

Opportunities: Barn and animal care
Duties May Include: Cleaning stalls, grooming horses, collecting chicken eggs, filling waters, sweeping, feeding
Good to Know: Outdoor environment in heat/sun, wear closed-toe shoes, will be directly around animals, uneven surfaces
