Who We Serve

It's important to remember that people living with brain change are still valuable members of society who have unique experiences, interests, and perspectives. They deserve to be treated with kindness and compassion.

People Living With Brain Change

People living with brain change, such as those with Alzheimer’s Disease or other forms of dementia, are first and foremost individuals who deserve respect, dignity, and support. Neurocognitive diseases can be very challenging, but it does not define a person or diminish their worth.

The Support Network offers various ways to support people living with brain change. The Club Room, Kindred Spirits, and Volunteer Opportunities provide opportunities for individuals to connect with others who may be going through similar experiences and form meaningful relationships. Engaging in planned outings with others is also an excellent way to keep individuals engaged with their communities and maintain a sense of belonging.

Family Care Partners

We offer a variety of resources and support services, including:

  • Care partner support groups: Our support groups provide a safe and supportive environment where you can connect with others who are going through similar experiences. Our meetings take place both in person and through Zoom, so you can join from anywhere.
  • Educational events: We bring in experts in the field to provide educational events on topics related to dementia, including the latest research, caregiving techniques, and strategies for coping with the emotional and practical challenges of caring for a loved one with dementia.
  • Private family meetings: We offer private meetings for families who want to discuss their individual situations and receive personalized support and guidance.
  • Assistance with finding outside support: We have an extensive knowledge of resources in the Naples area and can help you connect with outside support services such as home health care agencies, respite care, and other community resources.
  • Recorded educational meetings: We record some of our educational meetings so that you can watch them at your convenience.

Welcome to The Alzheimer’s Support Network, here to serve families and care partners of loved ones with Alzheimer's or other forms of neurodegeneration. We understand that receiving a diagnosis of Alzheimer's can be overwhelming and emotional, and we are here to offer you the support and resources you need to navigate this journey.

At the Alzheimer's Support Network, we are committed to improving care throughout our community. If you share that goal as a professional, please contact us. If we don't have an educational or training program already developed to fit your needs, we can work together to create it.

Professional Care Partners

The Alzheimer’s Support Network holds many educational lectures, seminars, and workshops each year. Some of these are open to both families and professionals while others are exclusively designed just for professionals. Our team of care guides assists professionals from all fields. For example, we have educational programs specially designed for real estate agents, first responders, and even Uber drivers. If you work with people living with Alzheimer’s disease, we have a host of tools and training designed to provide insights and added skills. In addition, we offer support groups for staff members who work in Memory Care communities.

The Alzheimer’s Support Network has two staff members who are certified trainers of the Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT), an experiential tool designed to simulate how Alzheimer’s changes sensory perceptions.

Business or Community Partners

The Alzheimer’s Support Network offers educational lectures, seminars, and workshops for professionals working with individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other types of brain change. These resources are not limited to healthcare professionals but are open to all businesses and service organizations who wish to have a better understanding of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

In addition, The Network has two staff members who are certified trainers of the Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT), an experiential tool designed to simulate the lived experience of Alzheimer’s. The VDT can be experienced in our offices or can be brought off-site.  It has received positive feedback for its ability to provide a life-changing experience.

We invite any and all businesses to partner with us in our Naples Unites program, designed to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and lessen the stigma associated with it by committing to treat all people with brain change with kindness, dignity, understanding and respect, ways in which we all wish to be treated.

At The Network, we understand that caring for a loved one with Alzhiemer's can be a complex and challenging journey. Our goal is to provide you with the resources, support, and information you need to navigate this journey with confidence and compassion.
